It's my birthday and I'll cry if I want to!
In honor of my missed birthday cruise, I wanted to give you some insights into how my first and second day in Dublin would've been like. I hope you enjoy this virtual tour with me!
1. Pub Capital- Our first stop in Dublin after checking into the hotel, would've been to find lunch at a recommended pub. Don't know where that would've been as I wanted to ask our concierge, but we probably would've also visited here for lunch before embarking on the ship the next day.
2. Guinness Storehouse- But actually, I think my revised plan was to do a Guinness tour and have lunch on the rooftop right before embarking. Can't go to Dublin and not stop at Guinness....or Jameson.
3. Castles and Cathedrals- The visit to Guinness would've happened after a morning tour to Trinity College to see the Book of Kells. The tour also included stops to Christchurch Cathedral, St. Patrick's Cathedral, and Dublin Castle. The proximity of major landmarks in Dublin city are extremely convenient.
4. Food, Dance, and Music- I'm jumping around much now lol! On our first evening in Dublin, I had found a great opportunity to take in the culture with a delicious Irish dinner and show. The show included typical Irish music and instruments, as well as their famed dancing.
Are you yearning for Ireland as much as I am now? Gosh even moreso--bucket list was so close to getting a few checks. The beauty of it all, is that Ireland is not going anywhere. While we may not have met in 2020, it will come.
What place were you most looking forward to visiting this year? If you're interested in Ireland, let me know--might be able to set up a group for 2022.
